Zanbase

Where your whole team works in one place.

Docs, databases, projects, chat, whiteboards and forms — one login, one permission model, one search.

Free for up to 5 people. No card required.

Replaces the tabs your team is already paying for

The mindset

Instead of every team and every kind of data having its own isolated tool…

Each one grows its own login, its own permissions, its own search. The work is one thing; the tools make it five, and then you spend your day carrying data between them by hand.

Five separate islands — whiteboard pastures, spreadsheet slums, issue factories, productivity obelisks and document graveyards — strung together with sagging cables. Whiteboard PasturesSpreadsheet SlumsIssue FactoriesProductivity ObelisksDocument Graveyards

…put the whole workspace on one graph

Same surfaces — a doc is still a doc, a board is still a board. But they share one login, one permission model and one search, so moving between them stops being a migration.

The same five neighbourhoods on one continuous plane, with no cables between them.
One workspace. No cables.

One graph

Every kind of thing your team makes

Not twelve products bolted together. One resource tree, so a doc, the table it cites and the thread arguing about it share the same permissions, the same search and the same URL space.

  • Docs

Rich-text pages that two people can type in at once.

  • Tables

A real database. Sort, filter, formulas, relations.

  • Projects

Milestones, cycles and tasks with a status model.

  • Chat

Channels, DMs and threads next to the work.

  • Whiteboards

An infinite canvas for the messy part.

  • Presentations

Slide decks over the same canvas engine.

  • Reels

A timeline video editor that exports to mp4.

  • Forms

Collect data on a public link, straight into a table.

  • Recordings

Record your screen, share a link, skip the meeting.

  • Meetings

Calls with screen share, recorded into the workspace.

  • Automations

When this happens, do that. No glue code.

  • AI agents

Personas with your tools, working on your data.

One dataset, many shapes

Same data. Any view.

A view is a lens, not a product. The rows below never change — only how they are drawn.

Built for two people typing at once

  • Everyone's cursor, live

Documents and whiteboards sync through a CRDT. No save button, no merge conflicts, no "who has this open?".

  • Comment on anything

A word in a doc, a cell in a table, a shape on a canvas, a frame in a video. Same thread model everywhere.

  • Presence that means something

See who is in a resource right now, what they're editing, and whether they're typing a reply.

AI, where the work already is

Agents that can actually do things

Build a persona, give it a model and a set of tools, and tag it like a teammate. It reads and writes the same workspace you do — under your permissions, never above them.

  • Answer from your workspace, not the open web
  • Draft in a doc, fill a table, open a task
  • Run on a schedule or when something changes
  • Scoped to what the person asking can already see

Questions

Before you move anything across

Do I have to move everything at once?

No. Most teams start with one surface — usually projects or docs — and pull the next one across when the tab-switching gets annoying. Everything you import stays exportable.

What happens to my data if I leave?

You can export any resource as a file at any time, and a whole workspace on request. There is no lock-in clause and no export fee.

Is it actually real-time?

Yes. Documents and whiteboards sync through a CRDT, and everything else syncs through a live query engine — you see other people's cursors, edits and presence without refreshing.

How do permissions work across all these surfaces?

One model. Access is granted on a resource and inherited down the tree, so a doc, a table and the chat about them can share exactly the same audience without you configuring it three times.

Can I use it on my own?

That's the Free tier's whole purpose. Unlimited resources, every surface, and up to five collaborators when you're ready to add anyone.

Do you have a desktop app?

Yes, for macOS and Windows, with global hotkeys and screen capture wired to the native layer.
